We are delighted to announce that we have received Complete Ambulatory certification by the Drummond Group, an Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ATCB) of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC-HIT) under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). With this status, providers currently using AWARDS possess the tools necessary to demonstrate Meaningful Use, and have increased their potential to qualify for the EHR incentives offered under ARRA.
“This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to empower our clients with the technology they need to further their missions and improve the world through the services they provide,” says Marlowe Greenberg, CEO and one of the founders of Foothold Technology. “We are proud of our role in the nation’s movement towards electronic record-keeping and the development of Health Homes and Health Information Exchanges. The certification process gave us the opportunity to demonstrate the robustness, interoperability, and flexibility of AWARDS—qualities that are helping human services agencies operate more efficiently and effectively.” He adds, “We are now better positioned to assist in the development of interoperable networks of health care organizations as they pursue ever greater operational efficiency by working together on their hardest cases.”
This EHR Module is 2011/2012 compliant and has received Complete Ambulatory certification by an ONC-ATCB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Certificate #05032012-1299-6. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the US Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.
How Meaningful Use Could Mean Money For Your Agency
On March 26, as part of FootholdConnect, we hosted a Meaningful Use Informational Session for AWARDS users. The session was aimed at helping our Medicaid provider agencies who have a psychiatrist, nurse practitioner or physician working with them understand how they might be eligible to receive up to $63,750 under a Federal incentive program. During the session we reviewed the legislative background, eligibility criteria, registration processes, as well as how to actually receive the money. Attendees also received a demonstration of relevant functionality in our certified Electronic Health Records (EHR) system – AWARDS.
