As the nation moves to provide more comprehensive and effective healthcare to all, a main focus is how to extend the benefits of coordinated care to Behavioral Healthcare recipients through safe and secure Health Information Exchange. At Foothold, we’ve been working on helping human service agencies prepare for this revolution for years, becoming one of the first Electronic Health Records to be fully interoperable with other federally certified systems.
In recognition of this status, we’ve been invited to showcase our system, AWARDS, at the 2014 Healthcare Information and Management Society Conference (HIMSS), one of the largest professional gatherings of the Health Information Technology community in the world. We’ll be demonstrating a live data exchange between care providers in a patient setting, one of several EMRs being featured in the Conference’s Interoperability Showcase Theater. In addition, we’ll have a presence at the booth of our partner in coordinated care, InterSystems, the global leader in Health Information Exchange. And of course, we’ll have our own booth to stake out a small claim for Behavioral Healthcare in the world of physical health.
