Good Record Keeping Leads to Greater Impact

A Conversation with Sequel Alliance Family Services

by Jeremiah Dameron, Foothold Technology

This summer, Foothold Technology customer Sequel Alliance Family Services was awarded Foothold Technology’s Impact Prize for Greatest Impact on Agency Operations. I knew from the agency’s Impact Prize nomination materials that the use of AWARDS helped contribute to an excellent score on a recent Idaho state Medicaid audit, and wanted to hear more. I wanted to hear details on how the shift to electronic record keeping helped transform this agency’s operations. Did it help support the agency’s programs in both Idaho and Nevada? Was it all about data or was there also some change in process required? What did it feel like for staff to take the plunge back in 2014 when the agency become Foothold Technology’s first customer in the state of Idaho?

Members of the Sequel Alliance team agreed to sit down with me for an informal chat where we touched on everything from change management, billing, reporting, and customer satisfaction. You can listen to highlights of our conversation here:

Perhaps you’ll hear some familiar themes you can apply at your agency? Maybe you have some similar stories to tell? Or maybe you aren’t yet using electronic record keeping to support your agency? If you’re interested in learning how AWARDS can help transform your agency, let us know!

“With AWARDS, our supervisors have the ability to view their entire programs’ documentation in one location with ease, eliminating the need for cumbersome paper records and unnecessary travel from site to site. Before AWARDS, this level of oversight would have been impossible. Our good documentation is bolstering our agency’s reputation in the community and with our funders.”
