by Jeremiah Dameron, Foothold Technology
Foothold’s role with the Electronic Health Record Association (EHRA) expands as Senior Advisor David Bucciferro becomes Vice-Chair of the Patient Safety Workgroup. The Patient Safety Workgroup collaborates with member companies and key stakeholders to advance the safe use of EHRs. This group creates and disseminates best practices in key areas identified by the Executive Committee, and will serve as a resource to educate stakeholders on issues related to patient safety and proactive reporting processes associated with EHR usage.
Along with his role as Vice-Chair of the Patient Safety Workgroup, David will continue his role on the Opioid Crisis Task Force where he co-leads the Standards and Technology sub-group and continue his role on the Membership Committee. In addition, David will continue to lend expertise through participation in various EHRA-sponsored workgroups including: the Privacy & Security Workgroup, Delivery System Reform Workgroup, the Public Policy Leadership Workgroup, and the Quality Measurement Workgroup where he is also joined by colleague Alex Attinson, a member of Foothold Technology’s Quality Assurance and Connected Care team.
