Integrating Behavioral Healthcare with Medical Healthcare Presentation
Below you can view a powerpoint slide deck that our CEO has given around the country at various conferences, addressing the complex and evolving topic of data interoperability, Meaningful Use (MU), Regional Health Information Organizations (RHIOs), and Health Homes. The presentation provides a brief overview of the forces driving the shift towards electronic health records as well as some mechanics of the MU Medicaid Incentive program, discussed within the context of behavioral healthcare reform.
MU is requiring both behavioral healthcare and medical organizations to collect some of the same data sets. Due to this intersection, the role of Medical/Health Homes and the RHIO or other Health Information Exchange is figuring more prominently, affecting both the types of data being collected and the method of reporting the data. Interoperability of the data is crucial to achieving and maintaining MU eligibility.
